    Project Gutenberg provides downloadable text files of hundreds of books and plays.
  • Bartleby.com
    Bartleby.com, also known as “Great Books Online,” includes full text e-books of classic literature as well as many excellent reference books including Gray's Anatomy, Bartlett's Familiar Quotations, Columbia Encyclopedia, the American Heritage Dictionary, Roget’s Thesaurus, and Oxford's complete works of Shakespeare.

    Bibliomania provides access to e-books of over 2000 classic books, plays, poems, and short stories.  This site also has reference books and study guides for some of the most commonly assigned books and authors.

    The School Bell’s Dolch Kit site includes practice materials to help students practice 220 high-frequency words.

    Better-English.com’s Business English Grammar site contains dozens of lessons and exercises oriented to adult learners.  This site is especially useful for English language learners.
